Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal later.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
Add the eggs to the butter and sugar mixture, one at a time, whisking until fully incorporated. Then stir in the vanilla extract.
In another bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
Gently fold in the chocolate chips and caramel bits. Reserve a handful of each for topping.
Pour the blondie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the reserved chocolate chips and caramel bits on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes. Lift the blondies out using the parchment overhang and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
Cut into squares and enjoy!
Notes
Allow to cool completely before cutting for best results.
