Instructions
Start by cutting the avocados in half, removing the pit, and scooping the flesh into a mixing bowl.
Add the lime juice immediately to prevent browning and provide a tangy flavor.
Using a fork or a potato masher, mash the avocado until it reaches your desired level of creaminess (smooth or slightly chunky).
Add the chopped cilantro, minced garlic, chopped jalapeño, and Greek yogurt (or sour cream) to the mashed avocado.
If using, sprinkle in the cumin.
Season with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting the seasoning as needed.
Mix everything together until well combined, ensuring no large chunks remain.
For an ultra-smooth dip, you can blend all the ingredients in a food processor.
Transfer the dip to a serving bowl, and if desired, garnish with extra chopped cilantro and a lime wedge on top.
