2tablespoonssoy sauce (use low-sodium if preferred)
1tablespoonolive oil
1teaspoonground black pepper
0.5teaspoonsalt
0.25teaspoonred pepper flakes (optional for a kick)
2green onionssliced (for garnish)
1tablespoonsesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
In a medium bowl, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well to create the marinade.
Add the cubed steak to the bowl and toss until all pieces are well-coated with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
Heat a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated steak bites to the pan in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches to avoid overcrowding).
Sear the steak bites for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired level of doneness (medium-rare is recommended for tenderness).
Once cooked, remove the steak bites from the pan and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
Drizzle any remaining marinade over the steak bites in the pan and let it bubble for a minute to thicken slightly.
Transfer the steak bites to a serving platter and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
For extra flavor, let the steak marinate longer if time allows.
